It's been a year since WeMartians became a thing. Back then, I was eager to get started and wanted to quickly get a website, a logo and some branding up so I could start making podcasts. At the time I was pretty happy with what I could throw together but looking back, the colours and logos of the past have fallen a little flat.
The website needed work, too. What I thought the website was going to do turned out different once I began. It turns out, running an interactive Mars resource (my initial plans) takes a lot of time, and I had to decide whether to spend time updating it with relevant content or focusing on the podcast. I chose the latter. So the website sat kind of stagnant. The old provider had a weird bug that I couldn't solve either, and the load times were...less than could be desired.
Over the year I started realizing that I needed a refresh and began working on some ideas. As we head into 2017, this is what I've come up with.
WeMartians.com is now officially live in BETA format. What does this mean? Well, not all of our site's content is up yet - in fact, I'm purposely scaling it back to be very succinct at this time. My main focus right now remains building the site's infrastructure (social media, email, etc.) before turning my attention almost full-time to the upcoming WeMartians Podcast, which will be the primary delivery method of content going forward.
Be sure to check us out on social media (links at the top and bottom of this page) to get updates on the site. Until then, check back often!
